February 2010 update

As you may know, we had a terrific year in 2009 for membership with a total of 224 members.  This is more than we’ve seen for years.  Many thanks to all those you joined or renewed their membership in 2009.  For 2010 we’re aiming to beat that and now we’ve even more ways for you to renew your membership:

Option 1 – Standing Order

To make everything so much easier for us to manage, and to save you having to search each year for cash or your cheque book and then find a stamp or walk round to deliver your subs, why not set up a Standing Order for your annual subs?

Option 2 – Direct Bank Transfer

For those of the Internet Banking age, you can pay your subscription direct in to our bank account.

Option 3 – Cash or Cheque

The good old traditional cash or cheques are always welcome!  Fill in the Membership Form and drop it in to me, enclosing your cash or cheque.

For security reason’s we obviously aren’t putting the bank account details on the web, so if you would like to set up a standing order, or do a bank transfer, then please email for our bank details.

Many thanks, and here’s to a successful 2010 membership campaign

NB  - Please note that I live in Northney LANE not ROAD - thanks.

August 2009

If you are new to the area, or have lapsed your membership, can we encourage you to join or rejoin your local residents association?  Formed in 1986, the association has campaigned on behalf of residents in Northney and Tye and the local area.  We have nearly 200 members representing more than 120 households and we would very much like to add your voice and views to our association.

  • Annual subscription only £2.50 per person/£5 a household.
  • Two general meetings a year
  • The winter meeting in the Village Hall is followed by a cheese and wine party which is always very well attended and good fun. It’s a great way to meet other villagers.
  • Active responses to local issues including planning and sea defences.
  • Regularly updated website with useful information including weekly updates of planning applications in our area, on which your comments are invited.

All the latest information about NEHRA and its activities are put on the website regularly, so please take a look at it and see how we can help you. This year we would like to start saving paper by emailing updates and important notices to the residents.  Email updates would notify you that:

  • Agendas and minutes of meetings are available
  • Accounts can be viewed
  • The website has been updated with major news
