RECYCLING & BIN DATES Recycling A limited number of items are recycled by Havant Borough Council (HBC). However, more items are now collected by various organisations for recycling within the Borough and details can be found in the table below (other organisations my be providing similar services). It is important to read through the "Search all items & conditions" for each organisation so the correct items are supplied in the right condition, to avoid contaminating the recycled material.
Bin Dates
In Northney and Tye, the roads listed below have their bin collection on a Monday. The collections alternate between domestic household rubbish (grey top black bin) and recyclable items (green top black bin). Northney Road, Northney Lane, Spinnaker Grange, St Peters Road, Clovelly Road, Pycroft Close, Church Lane, St Peters Avenue, Gutner Lane, Woodgaston Lane, Copse Lane The table, right, shows when the household rubbish and recyclable items are collected, for example on the 27th of January and 3rd of February respectively. Garden waste can also be collected by Havant Borough Council (for a charge). Garden waste (brown top black bin) is collected on a Monday, the same date as domestic household rubbish as per the table on the right.
Visiting a Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) In advance of visiting an HWRC you will need to book a 30 minute timeslot online and provide your name and car registration. Sites are open from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm seven days a week. Only one visit per week is allowed and may be booked upto seven days in advance. The new automatic number plate recognition programme (ANPR), designed to allow automatic access for vehicles registered by Hampshire residents, will not be enforced during this period. This allows more time for residents to register.
